Who we are
We’re one of the largest providers of youth services in Cumbria, welcoming all young people. We take a pioneering and inclusive youth work approach to support the personal, social and spiritual development of young people across the county. We’re church, just not as you know it.
We take developing new ways of being church with young people seriously. We began in response to low numbers of young people engaging with church in Cumbria ten years ago and have since grown into one of the most creative faith-based youth projects in the UK.
God for All
The county-wide God for All strategy recognises that we need to develop different and new ways of being church, alongside those that already exist.
This means that our work is informed by the strengths of the local church, but everything we do is governed by what works best for our young people, and that means doing things differently.
Our Team
Network Youth Church is led by an experienced mix of professionals, who all have a heart to see young people experience life in all its fullness. This includes those who have studied theology, people with youthwork qualifications and former teachers. All those involved with Network Youth Church are subject to safer recruitment and receive regular safeguarding training.
Our Partners
As part of God for All, Network Youth Church regularly works with other groups and organisations – both secular and faith-based - along with The Diocese of Carlisle, The Cumbria Methodist District, The United Reformed Church, The Salvation Army and The Baptist Church.

NYC Brampton & Longton
NYC runs regular groups and activities across the area both weekly and monthly, these vary in style from drop-In sessions to groups that enjoy a meal together while they think about the Christian faith.

NYC Eden
Welcome to Eden Network Youth Church. We work with young people aged 11-18 across the Eden area. Hosting Youth groups, lunch clubs in secondary schools, Discipleship groups and partnering with some secular youth work providers and NISCU.
NYC Whitehaven
We get together for food, fun and friendship at St Andrew's Church in Mirehouse, Whitehaven and in local secondary schools. For those who want to, we do church together in ways that make sense to young people.
NYC Windermere
Covering the Cartmel Peninsula, the towns and villages surrounding Lake Windermere and Staveley we seek to provide spaces to find friendship, fun and explore faith.
